About EHP Publishing

EHP Publishing publishes Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP) and the Journal of Health and Pollution (JHP) with support from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS).

Vision
We aspire to be the recognized leader at the intersection of advances in environmental health sciences and scholarly publishing.

Mission
Our mission is to advance knowledge and contribute to public health through timely publication and effective dissemination of high-impact scientific content in the environmental health sciences.

Goals  
We strive to achieve our vision and mission through the attainment of three overarching goals:

  • Goal 1: Attract and publish novel, high-quality research contributions from all disciplines comprising the environmental health sciences.
  • Goal 2: Communicate and promote environmental health research findings and knowledge to a broad array of stakeholders.
  • Goal 3: Foster development of an innovative, diverse, international community of contributors in the environmental health sciences.
Open Access 
EHP and JHP are completely open access—all content published on the EHP Publishing website may be accessed and downloaded for free, and authors pay no fees.

All content published by EHP Publishing lies in the public domain. Learn more about permissions for reusing your own content or someone else’s.

Continuous Publication 
EHP and JHP are published on a continuous publication basis—each article goes online as soon as it is ready.

LOCKSS
The Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe (LOCKSS) Program, based at Stanford Libraries, collaborates with organizations to archive digital scholarly content. LOCKSS participants can archive EHP Publishing website data, ensuring long-term preservation of journal content.
